WORK EXPERIENCE

Ingenious Management Consulting (IMC) has extensive experience in conducting research, designing development programmes, and implementing enterprise support initiatives across Nagaland. The firm has worked at the intersection of livelihoods, agribusiness, education, and institutional strengthening, providing data-driven insights and practical models that have informed both policy and grassroots implementation.

IMC’s prior engagements demonstrate its capacity to translate research into actionable development strategies, establish producer organisations, and develop financially viable business models for community-based enterprises. The firm’s multidisciplinary team brings together expertise in value chain analysis, financial modelling, gender inclusion, and project management, making it well-positioned to undertake the proposed Value Chain Study for Zunheboto District.

TAPU FPO (Coffee Collective – VK, Zunheboto District, Nagaland)

IMC supported the establishment and operationalisation of the TAPU Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO), a collective of coffee growers focused on cultivation, processing, and market engagement. The engagement began with a baseline assessment that mapped production clusters and evaluated the potential of participating villages. IMC then provided technical and institutional support to formalise the FPO’s governance structures, develop operational guidelines, and strengthen value chain linkages.

Through this intervention, coffee growers were able to organise collectively, enhance market readiness, and secure institutional finance through a structured business plan. The FPO successfully received a grant of ₹30 lakh to set up a full-cycle Coffee Processing Unit (CPU). Today, TAPU FPO has 109 registered members, 58% of whom are women, and is equipped to manage the entire processing chain—from parchment to market-ready coffee—strengthening livelihoods and local enterprise capacity.

NAGALAND SPICES (Enterprise Development and Marketing)

IMC played a key role in conceptualising and developing Nagaland Spices, a local enterprise focused on promoting indigenous spice-based products. IMC’s engagement included designing the business model, structuring financial plans, and facilitating seed-stage funding. The team also supported branding, packaging, and marketing strategies to establish strong visibility for the enterprise across both online and offline platforms.

Established in 2023, Nagaland Spices operates as a sustainable social enterprise that sources directly from rural communities, creating market access for farmers and women-led producer groups. The enterprise secured a grant of ₹21 lakh and currently generates approximately ₹18 lakh in annual revenue, reflecting its growing market potential and impact.

NESIDS (OTRI) – BAMBOO (Industrial Feasibility and Operations Design)

Under this engagement, IMC designed the operational framework and business plan for a proposed bamboo-to-paper pulp and biomass briquette facility. The firm conducted technical assessments, raw material analysis, and logistics mapping to determine plant feasibility.

IMC developed a comprehensive operations plan, detailing production systems, waste utilisation processes, and environmental safeguards. The project contributes to the emerging bioeconomy sector in Nagaland, aligning industrial development with sustainable resource management

JOME Foods Pvt. Ltd.

JOME Foods Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2021 in Dimapur, is an experiential food company showcasing the unique culinary heritage of Northeast India through premium, community-sourced products. The brand works closely with farmers and artisans to bring authentic, sustainably produced food items to national markets.

IMC supported JOME Foods in securing early-stage investment by preparing a detailed business valuation and offering technical guidance throughout the fundraising process. By helping the company meet the requirements of the NEDFi Venture Capital Fund, IMC played a key role in enabling JOME Foods to secure a ₹2 crore venture capital investment. This support has strengthened the company’s growth trajectory, allowing it to expand its experiential food product line and deepen market access for farmers and artisans across Nagaland.

YN-NEM

IMC designed the program architecture and implementation roadmap for the YouthNet Entrepreneurship Management (YN NEM) Platform. The initiative that plans to support young entrepreneurs in Nagaland through structured training, mentorship, and incubation support.

IMC’s contribution included developing the framework, capacity-building modules, and monitoring tools to evaluate performance and scalability. The program, once implemented, will serve as a replicable model for youth enterprise promotion in small states.
